Sharolyn wrote her first book "K-9 SEARCH: One Handler's Journey" in response to a challenge from another SAR handler. Tired of reading popular novels that didn't understand how SAR really happens, she accepted the challenge. Her hope is that the reader will find in the pages of the "K-9 SEARCH" novels an appreciation for the incredible, highly skilled work that a Search and Rescue dog can do, and the amazing dedication it takes to be a K-9 Search and Rescue handler.
